The Camel's Back
By Village News Team
After Mr. Hannacott’s death, his will requires his sister Prudence to manage the family farm. Running a farm, however, is very different to running a successful draper’s shop, and her methods are not always welcomed by the family, the farm staff, or the villagers. When an amateur theatrical production unfolds in the village, it creates additional complications as residents scheme to remove Prudence from her role — and a comedy of village life unfolds at her expense.
The Camel’s Back by Arnold Helsby, directed by Robin Thwaytes, ran for three nights at the village hall.
Performed by Exeter Drama Company on 14th–16th March 2024.
